Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Face detection and blurring run entirely in your browser. Your photos never leave your device.
How accurate is the face detection?
The tool uses a lightweight AI model optimized for frontal and near-frontal faces. Very small, angled, or partially hidden faces may not be detected.
What is the difference between blur and mosaic?
Blur applies a gaussian blur to face regions. Mosaic replaces face pixels with a blocky pixelated pattern. Both effectively anonymize faces.
Does it work on group photos?
Yes. The tool detects and blurs all visible faces in the image simultaneously.
Does it work on side or partial faces?
The detection model is optimized for frontal and near-frontal faces. Strong side profiles or heavily occluded faces may not be detected reliably.
Is this free to use?
Yes. You can use it right away with no signup required.
