When to use this
- When you need to copy text from a screenshot or error message
- When a table is stuck in an image and you need it in a spreadsheet
- When you want to extract item names and prices from a receipt photo
- When data is trapped in a UI screenshot and you need to reuse it
- When you need structured output, not a raw OCR text dump
What this tool does
Drop any screenshot or image and the tool extracts text using browser-based OCR. It then auto-detects the content type — plain text, table, or receipt — and structures the result so you can copy-paste it directly into a spreadsheet, document, or message. No server processing, no file upload.
How to use
- 1Upload, paste, or drag-and-drop a screenshot
- 2Click 'Extract data' to start OCR processing
- 3The tool auto-detects whether the content is text, a table, or a receipt
- 4Switch between modes to see different structured views
- 5Copy the result — tables paste as tab-separated values for spreadsheets

Frequently asked questions
What types of images work best?
Screenshots with clear, printed text work best. Photos of screens, documents, receipts, and tables are all supported. Handwritten text may produce lower accuracy.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs in your browser using Tesseract.js. Your image never leaves your device.
How does auto-detect work?
After OCR, the tool analyzes the text for patterns — currency symbols and totals suggest a receipt, consistent columns suggest a table, and everything else is treated as plain text.
Can I switch between result modes?
Yes. After extraction, you can switch between Text, Table, and Receipt views to see the same OCR result structured differently.
What languages are supported?
English, Korean, and Japanese are loaded by default. The OCR engine supports these languages simultaneously.
How accurate is the receipt extraction?
Receipt extraction uses heuristic pattern matching, not AI. It works well for standard printed receipts but may need review for unusual layouts.
